Product Overview

MORE ACCURATE. MORE LETHAL, AND IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TIP. It doesn't just look intimidating, it's flattening whitetails and competitors in the tipped-slug market with devastating ferocity. Guided by our new Power Port™ Tip, AccuTip Sabot Slugs delivers a degree of accuracy and terminal performance unmatched by any other we tested. This masterpiece of aerodynamics consistently prints tiny 100-yard groups and transfers tremendous knockdown force to the farthest reaches of shotgun range. It's the largest tipped slug you'll find anywhere. In field testing, these huge .58-caliber slugs (12 Gauge) and flat-shooting .45-caliber slugs (20 Gauge) produced gaping wound channels and crumpled every deer they touched with a single shot. From 5 to 200 yards, it yields perfect mushrooms and over 95% weight retention thanks to its spiral nose cuts and high-strength cartridge brass jacket.

  • SABOT SLUG - Designed for rifled barrels only
  • AVAILABILITY - Available in 2 3/4" or 3" 12-gauge and 20-gauge versions.
  • POWER PORT TIP - This tip allows for superior accuracy at distances
  • SLUG JACKET - Our slug is jacketed with high-strength cartridge brass to ensure perfect expansion and mushrooms

Best Slug I've every used
I shoot the 3 inch 20ga through a Savage 220 topped with a Leupold 3x9x40 scope. I have it zeroed at 150 yards, which I was able to do in 10 rounds. I have taken 4 deer with this slug ranging from 100-145 yards, none went more than 50 yards. I got this gun the year before Iowa started allowing straight wall rifles for deer hunting, I have thought about trading but I dont think I will, the 220 and accutip works so well I have to keep it around.

Dead Down
These are just excellent for dropping your BIG Deer-I’ve used both 12and20 gauge accutips and nothing runs very far OR they’re dead in their tracks. Thanks for the Power

Way too expensive
Just like the title says this ammunition is way too expensive. $5-6 a shot is absolutely insane for a slug or any ammunition for that matter. My favorite sabot slug that I had stockpiled and finally ran out of was the discontinued premier core-lokt ultra sabot slug. Unfortunately, due to price of sabot slugs, I’m leaving my shotgun behind for future deer gun seasons and going to a straight wall cartridge rifle for half the price. Not to mention more performance out past 200 yards.

This is the perfect load for a Savage 200!
If you have a Savage 220 in 20ga AND DEEP POCKETS, this is the recommended round and for a reason - I had a 1" group at 100 yards in my first three shots. This after burning almost 50 rounds with a competitor round only to get a 8" group. So why only 3 stars? At almost $5/round (when you add shipping and taxes), it's hardly worth it. I know this is a niche round, but it's hard for me to believe production costs are so high that it warrants that price. I'm a true capitalist and would never begrudge any company an honest profit, but the pricing on these rounds is just flat out excessive for a 20 ga round. Got my point? That said, I did find another competitor round in 2 3/4" for nearly half the price that shoots equally well groups. I will use that round until Remington gets more competitive on price with this one.
