Excellent ammunition.
I inherited 4 boxes from the mid 1960's from my dad about 10 years ago, I did not have 7mag to use it in until now, I purchased a Remington 700 SPS stainless. On a whim i thought I'd try the 60 year old ammo out at the range one day and to my pleasant surprise it grouped under an 1" at 100meters and delivered 3140FPS out of the factory 26" BBL over my chronograph. i thought this is as good as any handloads I could develop in short time before hunting season so I took them out on a 6 day hunt. I shot a medium/small brown bear during that hunt and it surprised me how it body slammed the bear and blew a 3" diameter exit hole on a double lung shot killing the bear within seconds. Of the dozen bears I have shot, most run about 25yds even with well placed shots, the core lokts really seemed to transfer a lot of shock to the animal and anchored it on the spot. I recall my dad telling me on several occasions the he had killed a large number of moose with the Remington 7Mag ammo. To sum it up - they last long when properly stored, shoot very accurately, and are very effective on game. Seems like they have had a good thing going for a very long time.

Works
good stuff .. very accurate out of rem 700 rifle .shot few whitetails with this round and it always drops them on the spot .. Like to see how works for moose. Also , wanting to try the core lokt tipped . it has a bit better ballistics from what i read . looking forward to it .. and if it performs like this stuff definatley will be the go to round
