Core-Lokt Tipped 270 Win 130 Grain

Elk Hunting North Idaho. We have been hunting Elk for many years, my buddy and I are both over 70 years young. We know just how tuff Elk can be, that said, this was our first year using the Core-Lokt Tipped 270 Win 130 Grain. We have been using a bullet that was all copper and for sure it was going to go all the way through the Elk and may or may not expand. We wanted to try a new bullet this year. On the 3rd day of the hunt the first Bull stepped out of the cover at just a little over two hundred yards, followed by a bunch of cows. As soon as the bull was clear of the cows, my 270 Winchester sent the 130gr Core-Lokt Tipped bullet on its way. The shot was good in the chest, and he went down, the bullet was a passthrough. (O-My) strait down! 2 days later we came across a nice bull with a bunch of cows and calf's, he was a bout 325 yards, my buddy's 270 Winchester sent the 130gr Core-Lokt Tipped bullet on its way and he nailed it right front shoulder. The Core-Lokt Tipped bullet did its job perfectly, the shot was a passthrough with just the right size exit hole. We will be using the Core-Lokt Tipped 270 Win 130 Grain load again for sure.
