It’s the year of the deer and we’ve got some seriously delicious venison recipes cookin’. This easy recipe should take about an hour from start to finish –– 15 minutes of prep and 45 minutes to bake. Feel free to throw a few foil-wrapped potatoes in the oven while the meatloaf is baking –– because nothin’ beats meat and potatoes.
Ingredients for Easy Hunting Camp Meatloaf
2 pounds ground venison
1 pound 80/20 ground beef
1 12 oz package of sage flavored stuffing
1 10.5 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
½ yellow onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
*Optional (but highly recommended) Glaze
¾ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
A few shakes of your favorite hot sauce to your heat preference
Directions for Easy Hunting Camp Meatloaf
Preheat oven or grill to 350 degrees
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl
Once thoroughly mixed, evenly distribute in a 9x13 baking pan
Mix the glaze ingredients in a small bowl and brush to cover the meatloaf
Bake for 45 minutes
